Since all students work at a different pace and have unique interests, my goal as an instructor is to accommodate their individual needs. My hope is to inspire the student to discover their creative voice through experimentation of media and subject matter. Each student works with their own source material and supplies while I provide one-on-one instruction and assistance. Class sizes are roughly ten students, giving me plenty of time to work individually. Each class opens with a thought for the day, lesson idea, technique, or a viewing of my latest work. This often leads to demonstrations or a mini “we want to do that too” workshop. We have even taken our easels and supplies outside for a little plein air painting! After teaching adults for five years, I embrace the dual learning – for my students and me.
Details include:
Wednesday Mornings: 9 – noon or
Wednesday Afternoons 1 – 4 pm
Cost: $25 per 3 hour lesson, payable 1 month in advance. Supplies not included.
Levels of Experience: Beginner, Intermediate
